Harvest Presbyterian Church in Calcutta has one room in livable conditions downstairs where five family members use as living room and bedroom. Three men sleep on the floor. It has been used as such for the past six years. The other room can be used when it is not raining. The entire area upstairs does not have a ceiling and is extremely hot in the summer due to its current design, when it rains it leaks water and streams down the stairs to the lower room. Its metal/wood roofing structure is not secured or anchored to the walls. The objective is to re-design upstairs with proper rooms and to elevate the walls to have more space available and with a secured roofing/roof/ceiling structure. This will serve as a secure area during hurricane/tropical storm and provide two additional rooms downstairs as shelters for the church members in the community.
PROJECT COST: $16,224.00(BELIZE CURRENCY) or $8,112.00(US CURRENCY)
