Faith Presbyterian ChurchBiblical, Reformed and Christ-Centered“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast”.Ephesians 2:8-9Welcome! All are invited to come and visit our worship services and meetings. We would love to get to know you and answer any questions you might have. Faith Presbyterian is a bilingual (English/Spanish) church located in Orange Walk Town across the street from Northern Regional Hospital. Our purpose is “to glorify God and to enjoy him forever” (Westminster Shorter Catechism). We are a community of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to make disciples (learners/followers of Jesus) from all nations, tribes, and peoples by proclaiming the Good News that God so loved the world that He sent His one and only Son to rescue men, women and children from sin and condemnation. Jesus commanded his followers to make disciples of all nations by baptizing and teaching them everything He has commanded. So, our goal is to share the message of salvation that people are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone and to preach and teach the whole counsel of God as contained in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. We are a church which emphasizes the faithful preaching of God’s Word, the proper administration of the sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s Supper), and fervent prayer in dependence upon God. As a Presbyterian church, we are led by a group of elders - men who are called by God and voted on by the congregation to serve, guide, and shepherd the local congregation. As a church in the reformed tradition, we hold to the emphases of the Protestant Reformation: that the basis of our teachings is found in the Bible alone, that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, and that all glory belongs to God. As a confessional church, we publicly proclaim that we believe that the ancient creeds of historic Christianity (e.g. Apostle’s Creed) as well as the Westminster Confession and Catechisms are accurate summaries of the teachings of Scripture. As a fellowship of believers, we maintain a gracious and loving family environment and seek to love and serve God and one another as well as the community, putting into practice the God-given gifts of each believer.
